Chris Torrez - Softball (1994-96)
All-American and four-time all-MIAA pick Chris Torrez played softball at Washburn from 1993-96. She was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006-07.
In 1996, her senior year she earned third team All-America honors as an outfielder and she ended her career as the school leader in home runs (32), RBI (167) and batting average (.398). She also set single-season records for homers (11), average (.458) and RBI (52).
Torrez earned second team all-conference honors her freshman year and then she was picked on the first team her final three years. Her junior and senior year she earned first team all-region honors and she was named team MVP her final three years.
