Washburn University Athletics

He was a four-year letterman in football at Washburn, where he graduated in 1934. He taught physical education, served as Dean of Men, coached football, track, golf and was the men's tennis coach for 30 years. He retired in 1977 after 38 years of teaching at Washburn University. After retirement, he served for more than 20 years as a volunteer for the Topeka Police Department. He was inducted into the Washburn Athletics Hall of Fame in 1978.
