Washburn University Athletics

Gerald Spohn was Washburn’s first All-American while leading the Ichabods to the 1925 AAU Championship, making Washburn the last team to win an AAU Championship title. He was named an All-American on a five-member squad out of all the collegiate basketball programs in the country. He was inducted into the Washburn Athletic Hall of Fame in 1971.
