Henry Schulteis - Golf and Basketball (1936-38)
As a starting forward on the basketball team and the golf team’s top player, Henry Schulteis left his mark on Washburn athletics from 1936-38. He was inducted into the WU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000-01.
Schulteis was with the Ichabods when they advanced to the NAIA basketball national semifinal in 1937-38. He was named to the all-tournament second team that year.
He started at forward at WU and was named team captain his senior season.
Schulteis was the No. 1 golfer for the Ichabods and he placed sixth at the Missouri Valley Conference tournament out of 20 golfers.
