Jennifer Harris - Women's Basketball (2004-06)
Jennifer Harris played two seasons for the Lady Blues and became the first Washburn basketball player to be National Player of the Year as three different organizations named her MVP and a first team All-American in 2005-06, her senior year. Harris scored 1,314 points in her career to rank ninth at Washburn and first among two-year players at Washburn. Not only an explosive scorer, Harris also wrapped up her career as Washburn's career leader in assist average with 4.5 per game. On the defensive side, her 2.4 steals per game for a career is also a Washburn record. She helped the Lady Blues to the 2005 NCAA national championship and to two-straight MIAA regular season and postseason championships. Harris was named the MIAA's most valuable player as a senior and was named the conference tournament MVP as well. She set an MIAA record with 797 points in a single season and her 24.2 points per game as a senior led the nation. Harris became the first MIAA women's basketball player to be drafted as she was picked No. 20 by the Chicago Sky.
