Ron Berkholtz - Men's Basketball (1965-69)
Ron Berkholtz played varsity basketball at Washburn for four years and is listed throughout the program record book. He attempted 247 free throws in 1968-69 seasons and landed 205 of them. He is also third all-time in the record book for career free throws made at 474. His streak of 35 consecutive free throws made still stands today. Berkholtz is the ninth leading career scorer, playing 101 games and earning 1,344 points for a 13.3 game average.

In 1968 Berkholtz was voted All-Conference, All-District and honorable All-American. That same year, the Ichabods went to the National Championship. He led the team in scoring his junior and senior seasons. He graduated in 1970 and was inducted into the Washburn Hall of Fame in 1983-84.
