All-American Shelley (Foster) Duffey was a member of the Lady Blues basketball team from 1991-95 and she was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005-06.

Foster scored 2,144 points in her career, a total that has remained as the second-most in school history and the fourth-most in the MIAA through the 2019-20 season. Her 485 career made free throws  still stands as a program record and her 736 rebounds is the sixth-most in school history, as of 2020.

In 1992-93, her sophomore year, Foster scored 534 points to average 16.7 per game and earn Kodak All-America honors. The next year she was named D-II Bulletin honorable mention All-America and after her senior year she earned third team CoSIDA All-America honors.

Foster was a three-time first team all-MIAA pick and was named the league’s MVP her sophomore year.

She also excelled in the classroom as she earned all-MIAA academic honors twice and was named Kansas’ NCAA Woman of the Year in 1995.
