Susan Wickham - Women's Basketball (1982-84)
Two-year basketball star Susan Wickham played at Washburn from 1982-84. She was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 1994-95.

Wickham became the first Lady Blue to be named an All-American in 1983-84 as she helped her team to a Central States Intercollegiate Conference championship and a title in the District 10 tournament. That year she averaged 16.7 points per game and 6.7 rebounds.

The year before she totaled 282 rebounds, then the most in school history. She averaged 9.7 boards and 14.5 points a game.

Wickham averaged 15.7 points a game and 8.2 rebounds in her two years and her rebound average was fourth highest in school history (as of 2019-20).

She earned first team all-conference and all-district honors both years and academic all-conference honors her final year.

Wickham graduated in 1985 with an education degree and remained active in basketball.
