Terry Middendorf - Baseball (1984-88)
Terry Middendorf was a four-year member of the Ichabod baseball team from 1984-88 and left Washburn with his name scattered all over the offensive record books. He was inducted into the Washburn Athletic Hall of Fame in 2002-03.

Through the 2020 season Middendorf was tied for fourth in career home runs with 25, tied for seventh in both doubles (37) and in RBI (132). His .385 career batting average was seventh.

Middendorf topped the .400 mark in both his junior and senior seasons. In his junior year, 1987, he hit .404 with 10 homers and 38 RBI. During his final campaign he hit .414 with 19 doubles, 10 homers, 63 RBI and 72 hits.

His totals of 10 home runs his final two years were tied for eighth in school history and his 19 doubles was third. Middendorf’s RBI total was sixth and his hit total was ninth.

Middendorf also pitched for the Ichabods. In three seasons throwing off the mound he went 5-5 with a 4.29 ERA. He made 16 appearances with 12 starts. In his sophomore year he went 3-1 with a 2.87 ERA.

He was an NAIA all-district choice in 1987 and 1988 and a first team all-Central States Intercollegiate Conference pick as a senior.
