Stevi Schultz was named the MIAA Student Athlete of the Week after scoring in double figures in a pair of wins last week for Washburn.
Schultz averaged 13.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in a pair of wins as No. 11 Washburn won its 10th and 11th straight games. Wednesday at Truman she had 14 points, seven rebounds and four assists in Washburn's 67-59 win. Saturday against FHSU she had 12 points, six rebounds, two assists and three steals in Washburn's 75-55 win. She went 5 for 6 in that game and shot 60 percent during the week.
This is the second MIAA award this year for Washburn.
Ebonie Williams earned the honor on January 16.
The 11th-ranked Lady Blues (20-3, 13-1 MIAA) will look for their 12th straight win when they host Central Missouri Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in Lee Arena.
