LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Washburn Ichabod volleyball moved to No. 6 in the latest AVCA poll released by the organization on Monday afternoon.
Washburn drops four spots after losing for the first time in more than a month last Friday on the road 3-2 to then No. 23 Missouri Western. The Ichabods went 1-1 on the week and are now 21-2 overall and 10-2 inside the MIAA. They received 953 total points in the poll.
Tampa continues to hold the top spot with all 47 first place votes. Barry moves up to No. 2 with Nebraska Kearney at No. 3, Point Loma at four and Wayne State at No. 5.
Around the MIAA, Central Oklahoma is just behind Washburn at No. 7, Missouri Western moves to No. 20, while Emporia State and Central Missouri are both receiving votes.
The Ichabods begin this week on the road facing the No. 3 Lopers at 6 p.m. on Friday in Kearney, Neb.
