Credentials
Media Credentials are available to personnel from accredited media outlets by contacting sports information director
Gene Cassell, or assistant sports information director
Joy Smith. Please have your request to the SID office no less than one week prior to the event you want to cover. Credentials are available 90 minutes prior to kickoff at the will call window at the northwest entrance of Yager Stadium for football and the southeast corner of Lee Arena for basketball and volleyball. All media seating is in the Bianchino Pavilion on the west side of Yager Stadium on the third level. Press box space is reserved on a game-by-game basis and space is limited. For Lee Arena, the media seating is on the second floor of the Petro Allied Health Center overlooking the court.
Radio Stations
Radio Stations wishing to broadcast from Yager Stadium or Lee Arena should make broadcast requests through the Athletic Communications Office at least one week in advance. One courtesy line will be made available to the official station of each visiting team. There is one location in the softball and baseball press boxes for the official radio station of the visiting school. Should stations want to use the internet to broadcast, please send an email to "support@washburn.edu" and copy SID Gene Cassell on the email with the MAC address of the tieline equipment you are planning on using.
Internet
Wireless internet is available with a limited number of ethernet ports available (for volleyball, basketball, and football only). Please see a member of the sports information staff for access.
Photography
Per NCAA guidelines, photographers are limited to shooting in the designated areas along the competition surface. Please contact the sports information office with questions. Photographers without media credentials from the Washburn sports information office will be asked to leave the media area.
Interviews
Postgame Interviews with Washburn coaches and players are available to media personnel after the team has their meeting team immediately following the game. Players and coaches will be made available on the field or outside their respective locker rooms for interviews. Interviews during the week can be arranged by calling the Athletic Communications Office. Football will have a weekly media conference in the McPherson Booster Room on the second floor of the Petro Allied Health Center at noon on Wednesdays during the season. Please have player/coach requests to the athletic communications office by Monday at noon the week of the press conference.
Media Services
Media Services include a game program and lineups, plus statistics and game notes for each team. Stats are provided as well as individual and team stats and a play-by-play summary. A buffet meal will be served 90 minutes before kickoff on the media level of the press box for football on the press box level and a boxed meal or pizza will be available in limited numbers for basketball.
