TOPEKA, Kan. -- Washburn's Austin Brodie from Ichabod volleyball and Tommy Roehl from Ichabod cross country have been named the Hy-Vee Student-Athletes of the Week for action ending Sept. 7.

Austin Broadie led the Ichabod offensive attack with 34 kills (2.62 per set) as Washburn went a perfect 4-0 at the Oredigger Classic, dropping only one set in four matches. The senior hit .364 including two double-digit kill matches with over .500 percentages in the final two tournament matches. She also added 10 blocks on the defensive end. 

Tommy Roehl led the Ichabods to a second-place team finish at the JK Gold Classic at Wichita State finishing in a time of 19:18.75 coming in 15th as an individual. The Ichabods finished behind host squad Wichita State and ahead of Fort Hays State in the final team standings.
