At Washburn: Owns the school record in the javelin at 58.25m (191-01) and has the top 10 recorded throws in program history … a four-time member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2020-21: Did not compete in indoor season … had a season-best third-place finish at the UCM Kennedy Invitational with a throw 56.17m (184-03) … named to MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2019-20: Did not compete in indoor season … did not compete in outdoor season due to cancelation of the season because of COVID19 virus … named to MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2018-19: Recorded an eighth-place finish at the ESU Spring Invite with a mark of 57.05m (187-02)… a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

In 2017-18: Had best throw of the season in the javelin at the Missouri Southern Twilight Qualifier with a mark of 58.25 (191-01) finishing second with an NCAA provisional mark … placed seventh in the MIAA Outdoor Championships … qualified for the USA Track and Field Junior Championships where he placed 10th with a throw of 58.80 in the javelin… a member of the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

Background: Sat out the 2017 season on the Ichabod football team as a redshirt … an all-state selection at quarterback and defensive back as a senior … earned all-state honors at defensive back as a junior finishing fourth in the 400m run taking second in the javelin throw at the state tournament … finished ninth in the 400m as a sophomore … part of 4x400m relay team as a freshman which finished fourth in state and ninth in 400m …won districts and regional in javelin as a senior and regional shot put as a senior … placed seventh in javelin at state meet.

Personal: Son of Trent and Jana Herdman … major is athletic training.
