Background
As a senior he was selected to play in the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association All-Star game pulling down 10 rebounds … he averaged 14 points, nine rebounds and two blocks per game as a senior earning all-state 4A honors while shooting 69 percent from the field … as a junior he averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds a game earning first team all-league and honorable mention all-state class 4A honors … he also was a first team all-league pick as a sophomore earning honorable mention all-state class 4A accolades.
