Dino DeLisa played football at Washburn from 1983-85 and scattered his name throughout the Ichabods record book. He was inducted into the WU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2000-01.

DeLisa finished his career as the Ichabods’ all-time leading rusher with 2,794 yards and 29 rushing touchdowns. Those two records lasted until the 2006 season.

In 1983 he earned NAIA All-America honorable mention when he rushed for 14 touchdowns, the most for a sophomore at Washburn and the fourth most in school history through the 2006 season. He set a school record that year that stood until 2006 when he ran for 1,185 yards, becoming the first Ichabod to run for 1,000 yards or more.

DeLisa holds the school record for career 100-yard rushing games at Washburn with 15 and his 216-yard performance in 1983 was the second highest single-game rushing total in school history.
