Purchasing Tickets
Which sports are ticketed?
Football, volleyball and men's and women's basketball are the only paid admission sports for Washburn Athletics regular-season events. Washburn Athletics postseason events for non-ticketed teams may charge cost of admission.
How can I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online at WUSports.com under the Tickets tab at the top banner. Select the game, choose your seats, and complete your purchase digitally.
Are tickets available at the ticket window on game day?
Tickets may be available at the ticket window; however, availability is not guaranteed on game day. We strongly encourage fans to purchase tickets online to reduce waiting times and ensure availability.The ticket booth opens and 1.5 hours before game time for football and 1 hour for all other ticketed sports (volleyball, men's and women's basketball).
Where is general admission seating?
Football
General admission seating is available in Section A (north end of east side of stadium), Section E (south end of east side of stadium) and all seating located on the west side of Yager Stadium.
Volleyball
Seating for Washburn Volleyball is all general admission.
Basketball
General admission seating is located on the south bleachers (Sections H, I, J, K) and the outer two sections (Sections L, M, R, S) on the west side of the arena behind the team benches. Please reference the arena map below.
Do you offer reserved seating?
Football
Reserved chairbacks are located on the east side of Yager Stadium in the uncovered portion of the seating area.
Reserved covered chairbacks are located on the east side of Yager Stadium in the covered seating areas located in Sections B-D. The rows covered are rows 13 in up in Sections B & D, and Rows 12 and up in Section D.
Reserved Bench Seats are located in the bench seats in the 3 rows closest to the field in sections B-D.
Volleyball
Seating for Washburn Volleyball is all general admission.
Basketball
Reserved chairbacks are located on the east side of Lee Arena and feature full armrests and individual seats.
Reserved benchbacks are located in the middle three sections on the west side and feature bench seating with backrests.
We encourage fans to purchase reserved seating online for the most up-to-date availability.
Do you offer senior discounts?
Yes. Seniors 60+ may receive the senior rate for general admission tickets for Washburn Athletics ticket events.
Do children need a ticket?
Children 4 & under receive free general admission to Washburn Athletics Events.
Digital & Mobile Ticketing
Do you have mobile app ticketing?
Yes. The Hometown Fan App is the exclusive ticketing app for Washburn Athletics. Tickets and passes can be stored in the app by verifying the email or phone number used during purchase.
We strongly discourage the use of third-party ticketing websites.
Can I transfer my tickets to someone else?
Yes. Digital tickets can be forwarded electronically. Log in to the Hometown Fan App using the email or phone number associated with your order and use the “Transfer Ticket” feature.
What if I didn’t receive my digital tickets?
Check your spam or junk folder first. If you still can’t locate them, email wutickets@washburn.edu, and we can resend your tickets.
Student, Faculty & Group Tickets
Do Washburn students get free entry?
Yes. Washburn students receive free entry to all home regular-season games. Student passes are emailed at the beginning of each semester to the student’s Washburn email address from
Washburn University Box Office.
This excludes postseason and special event exceptions.
Do faculty/staff receive ticket benefits?
Faculty and staff discounts are available only for reserved chairback basketball season tickets. There are no other discounts currently for faculty and staff.
Are group tickets available?
Yes. For group ticket rates, please email logan.schmidt1@washburn.edu with your group's details.
Will Call, Gate Times & Arena Entry
Where do I pick up Will Call tickets?
All Will Call and pass list tickets can be picked up at the Will Call Window located at the ticket booth inside the Southeast entrance of Lee Arena for basketball and volleyball. Will Call and pass list for football can be found at the northwest corner of Yager Stadium
What time do the gates and ticket booth open?
The ticket booth opens and 1.5 hours before game time for football and 1 hour for all other ticketed sports (volleyball, men's and women's basketball).
Payments & Refunds
What forms of payment are accepted at the ticket window?
We accept cash, most major credit/debit cards, and Apple Pay.
Are refunds or exchanges allowed?
All ticket sales are final. If you have any questions, please contact our ticketing office for more information. If you would like to explore possible seat relocation options, please contact wutickets@washburn.edu.
Event Information & Policies
Is my ticket valid for both the men’s and women’s doubleheaders?
Yes. Tickets are valid for men’s and women’s regular-season doubleheaders played on the same day.
Where can I find accessibility accommodations?
Football
ADA seating is available at the top of the concourse area in sections A and E on the west side of Yager stadium, with additional handicap seating located on the top row of the east side of the field. Washburn Athletics offers two gates for ADA entry located at the northwest corner by the ticket booth and the northeast corner.
Basketball & Volleyball
ADA seating is available at the south end of Lee Arena.
Handicap parking is located near the tennis courts on the south side of the building, with ADA-accessible entry through the south doors.
What if a game time changes?
If a game time changes, we will notify fans via email, social media, and/or the Washburn Athletics website.
Printed tickets may not reflect updated times.
