Bryson Smith averaged 18.5 ppg with 5.5 rpg as Washburn opened MIAA play 2-0 with wins over Nebraska-Kearney and Fort Hays State last week.

Against the Lopers he scored 15 adding a season-high six rebounds in the win. Against the Tigers, Smith tied a Washburn high with 22 points hitting 9 of 10 free throws with two assists and four steals.
