Sophomore linebacker Jahmil Taylor has been named the MIAA's Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after a career-high performance this past weekend in the Ichabods' 23-7 win over Missouri Southern.

Taylor recorded a career-high 14 tackles with six solo stops in the Ichabods 23-7 win over Missouri Southern. He also added a sack for 10 yards and two tackles for loss for 12 yards. Taylor led an Ichabod defense which held the Lions to 233 yards of offense on the day including 84 yards of offense in the second half.

He joins Washburn's Joe Hastings (10/11), Dakota Palan-Johnson (11/1) and Steve Ivanisevic (10/11) as previous winners for the Ichabods this season. Taylor also won the award the opening week of the season after the Colorado Mines game.
