Senior Riley Price hit a grand slam in the seventh inning Friday against Emporia State to erase a three-run deficit and help Washburn eventually win in 11 innings. He batted 6 of 12 (.500) in the series with seven RBI and four runs scored as Washburn took 3 of 4 against the Hornets. Sunday he drove in all three of Washburn's runs as he was 2 of 3 and walked with the bases loaded. Saturday, in Washburn's 10-1 win he was hit by a pitch in a pinch hit at-bat and came around to score and in his next at-bat he singled as the designated hitter. He hit safely and scored or drove in a run in all four games.
