Cody Heiman had two interceptions returning one 25 yards for a touchdown leading the team with nine tackles adding one and a half tackles for loss helping Washburn hold the Griffons to a season-low 245 yards including 74 passing yards in a 21-7 win. His first interception gave the Ichabods a 14-0 lead on the Griffons' second play of the second half. After Missouri Western cut the lead to 14-7, he picked his second pass off at the Ichabods 34 and returned in 17 yards to the Western 49 yard line. Overall he had 42 return yards.
