Nick Sloan was magnificent in his midweek start helping the Ichabods past Emporia State, 9-1, on the road ... the junior righty dominated early and often as he retired 17 of the first 20 batters, including nine straight from the fourth to sixth innings and only saw two ESU batters advance to second during the first seven frames ...  Sloan went the distance, tossing the complete nine innings for the win, while surrendering one run on eight hits with six strikeouts and no walks.
