Klemz earned his second cross country All-American award last weekend at the NCAA Division II National Championships in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He completed the 10K course with a time of 33:12.8 and placed 29th overall out of 261 other runners, the highest nationals finish in Washburn’s program history. Achieving All-American honors capped off a record season for Klemz as he finished in the top-10 in each of the five races leading up to the National Championships and broke his own records for the fastest 8K and 10K times in Washburn men’s cross country history. He is now a three-time All-American, having attained the honor twice in cross country and once at the 2018 Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in the 10,000m run.
