Morrissey went a combined 4-0 last week for the No. 5 Washburn women’s tennis team (21-2). Morrissey and teammate, Alexis Czapinski, are ranked No. 2 in the nation and added a 6-3 victory against No. 23 Midwestern State (Texas) and won 6-2 over Southeastern Oklahoma State at No. 1 doubles. In singles, Morrissey won both matches in straight sets. Against MSU, she won 6-4, 6-1 at the No. 4 slot. The following day, she cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 victory against Southeastern Oklahoma State at No. 3 singles.
