Washburn University Athletics

Austin Telecky has been a member of the Washburn men’s track and field team since the program started back up in 2016. He is tied for the best indoor pole vault mark in school history at 4.68m (15-04.25) and is also tied for the second-best outdoor pole vault for the Ichabods at 4.60m (15-01.00). At this year’s MIAA Indoor Championships, he hit a personal-best 4.72m (15-05.75) and placed ninth. Telecky is from Doniphan, Neb., and is majoring in marketing.
