Brock Gilliam is a four-year member of Washburn baseball making 40 appearances on the mound with 22 starts. He holds a career ERA of 4.46 in 163.1 innings pitched and has struck out 111 batters. In six starts this season, he finished with the second-lowest ERA on the pitching staff at 3.12 and struck out the third-most batters at 30. Against Missouri Western on Feb. 28, he tossed seven scoreless innings and allowed just three hits while striking out five. A few weeks earlier, he retired 14 batters in a row against St. Cloud State. Gilliam is from Basehor, Kan. and is majoring in nursing.
