Colton Dunkle is a Washburn dual-sport athlete as he has been a member of the Ichabod Track and Field and Football teams since 2016. During this past indoor track and field season, he had three shot put throws land in the top-10 in Washburn’s record books and also recorded the ninth-best weight throw in program history at the MIAA Championships, placing eighth overall. At the 2019 indoor Mel Tjeerdsma Classic, he won the weight throw event with a mark of 54-03.25. He also holds a top-10 record in all three throwing events for the outdoor season, including a third-best mark in the shot put (52-04.75) which he set at the 2019 MIAA Championships. Dunkle has earned a place on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll every year. He is from Gilbert, Ariz. and is majoring in mathematics.
