David Kiibet's earned All-American status at the NCAA National Championships after finishing 22nd - the highest individual finish by an Ichabod in program history - in a time of 29:57.2 was the third-fastest time in program history behind his time of 29:53.8 he ran two weeks ago at the NCAA Central Regional on the same course. At the 1K split, Kibet was 152nd and then moved up 68 spots at the 2K split. He continually moved up at each split before making a 15-spot jump between the 4K and 6K spots. During the final 1K of the race, he moved up from 24th to 22nd.
