Cale Savage helped Washburn baseball to a historic week at the plate beginning with tying the program record of 29 runs in a 29-19 win over Rockhurst on Tuesday. On Sunday in a 18-4 win over Emporia State the Ichabods belted a program record 10 home runs led by Savage's three blasts, tied for the most by one player in a game in program history. Savage finished the week with four home runs and drove in five runs helping Washburn to a 3-1 week with a series win over the Hornets.
