LaRon Moore is in his 11th season as a full-time assistant coach and his 10th as part of the Ichabod coaching staff after serving the 2011 season as a graduate assistant for the Ichabods.

In 10 seasons on the Ichabod coaching staff he has coached 22 all-MIAA selections and four all-region picks and two All-Americans including Corey Ballentine, a 2019 NFL Draft pick by the New York Giants. He also coached Zach Franklin, who signed a free agent contract with the San Francisco 49ers following the 2017 NFL Draft.

He was a five-year standout and three-year starter at Texas Tech where he played in four consecutive bowl games for the Red Radiers. As a senior he recorded 18 tackles with 11 solo stops with an interception and five pass break ups. As a junior he recorded his first career interception against Texas and picked up a fumble and returned it 31 yards for a touchdown against Kansas. He had 10 tackles during the 2008 season as a sophomore and played in 13 games as a redshirt freshman after sitting out the 2006 season. At Midwest High School he was a high school All-American second team pick with 64 tackles and six interceptions on defense with 29 catches for 789 yards and eight touchdowns as a senior. He graduated from Texas Tech with a business degree in 2011. His uncle is Ron Moore who played at Pittsburg State winning the Harlon Hill trophy and in the NFL.

Moore lives in Topeka with his son LaRon, Jr.
