KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Ashley Taylor's overtime goal 8:04 into overtime propelled Washburn to a 2-1 win in overtime over No. 23 ranked Rockhurst. With the win, Washburn improves to 5-5-1 on the season and will take on Missouri Southern on Saturday at 7 p.m. in Yager Stadium.

Taylor's second goal of the season came on an assist from Danielle Sicard as Taylor headed into the goal for the winner.

The Lady Blues fell behind after a scoreless first half as Lisa Schwarz scored her eighth goal of the season in the 56th minute on an assist from Abby Davidson. The Lady Blues knotted the score on Jessica Mainz's fifth goal of the season from 18-yards out unassisted.

Jenny Persons picked up the win in goal picking up one save while facing eight shots.

The Lady Blues outshot the Hawks 16 to 8 including an 11 to 5 advantage in the second half.
