Season Stats

TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Lady Blues were swept in doubles action and could not recover falling 6-3 to Emporia State at the Washburn Tennis Complex. The Lady Blues will be back in action this weekend against St. Cloud State on Saturday in Maryville, Mo. and at Truman on Sunday.

After the Lady Blues were blanked by the Hornets in doubles action, Washburn picked up three wins in singles play. Diana Goldsmith, ranked No. 50 in NCAA Division II by the ITA, won her match at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-3. Washburn's other two wins came at No. 4 singles by Allie Gardner in a 6-2, 6-3 win and Lauren Harris picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles.
