TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Lady Blues tennis team improved to 3-0 on the year with an 8-1 win over Fort Hays State at the WU Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Blues' Trang Le Nguyen shutout Brittney Shea winning 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles as Washburn won all six singles matches. The Lady Blues recorded three shutouts and dropped just seven games in the six singles matches.

Washburn won two of the three doubles matches as well, including an 8-0 win by the No. 1 doubles team of Le Nguyen and Abbey Sharpe.
