TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Lady Blues tennis team knocked off the No. 25 ranked ranked Cameron Aggies 6-3 in tennis action at the Washburn Tennis Complex. With the win, Washburn improves to 4-1 on the season.

The Lady Blues jumped ahead 2-1 after doubles play after the duo of Trang Le Nguyen and Abbey Sharpe and the No. 2 team of Alysaa Castillo and Whitley Zitsch each won their matches by a 9-7 score. In singles play, LeNguyen won her No. 1 singles match in three sets (6-7, 6-1, 6-1) over Irene George. Sharpe defeated Sara Flores 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Annie Doole topped Shaneka Knight 6-3, 7-5 at No. 5 singles and Amanda Gayer won her No. 6 singles match over Heather Doslich 6-2, 6-2.
