Chris Herron, with a win. The Lady Blues (13-0, 1-0 MIAA) defeated Northwest Missouri State 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-21) in Maryville on Wednesday night for their 13th consecutive win.
Sophomore rightside hitter
Breanna Lewis led the way for Washburn by tying a career-high with 12 kills. Her .733 hitting percentage was also a career-high. Washburn hit .288 as a team, but held Northwest Missouri to a .160 attack percentage.
Senior setter
Kate Hampson dished out 38 assists, it was her fifth 30-plus assist game of the season and 92nd of her career. Junior libero
Molly Smith had a team-high 16 digs.
The Lady Blues will host their first home match of the season on Friday night when they take on 19th-ranked Truman State at 7 p.m. in Lee Arena. The Lady Blues will also host Missouri Western on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
