ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- The Washburn Lady Blues' seven-match winning streak over Missouri Western on the soccer pitch came to an end with a 3-0 loss to the Griffons. The Lady Blues will have their first home match of the season when they will face Central Missouri on Thursday at 6 p.m.

The Lady Blues outshot the Griffons 19 to 11 including 14 to 5 in the second half, but could not get any attempts past MWSU goalkeeper Joyce Endicott who finished with six saves.

Ashley Taylor, Brandy Hirsch and Kyleigh Olmstead all had three shot attempts to pace the Lady Blues attack.

Anny Widrigh had two goals for the Griffons and Jessica Martin added the third for Missouri Western.
