WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Washburn wrapped up the 2010 season with a 3-0 loss at No. 2-ranked Central Missouri. The Lady Blues finished with a 5-9-4 overall record and a 5-8-3 MIAA mark.

The Jennies took the lead in the 22nd minute when Cindy Lackey scored inside the box past Washburn goalkeeper Ashley Klone, who finished with nine saves in the match. As the first half was winding down, Carly Stanley scored her eighth goal of the season on an assist from Sarah Hotop leading the Jennies to a 2-0 halftime lead.

Neither team scored in the second half until Becky Lackey scored in the 80th minute.

Washburn was outshot 23 to 3 in the match including the Jennies holding a first half advantage of 15 to 2 and 8 to 1 in the second half. Washburn did attempt 13 corner kicks in the match to the Jennies seven.

Megan Buckley had two of the three shots for Washburn with Caysie Beetley supplying the other.

The Jennies completed the regular season with an 18-0 record while going a perfect 16-0 in conference play.
