TOPEKA, Kan. -- The #34 ranked Washburn Lady Blues tennis team had to rally from an early deficit for a come-from-behind 5-4 win over Southwest Baptist Wednesday afternoon at the Wood Valley Tennis Center. Washburn will be back in action on March 30 with an exhibition match against Cowley County in Emporia.

Alyssa Castillo clinched the match for the Lady Blues at No. 4 singles. She dropped the first set 6-0 before taking the second set 7-6 with a score of 7-3 in the tie breaker. She then went on to win the third and deciding set 6-4. The No. 1 doubles team of Castillo and Trang Le Nguyen picked up the lone win taking an 8-6 win over Jolee Cook and Faiga Schmidt. Le Nguyen and No. 1 singles, Morgan Rainey at No. 2 singles and Kristin McKee at the No. 6 singles secured the three other singles points for the Lady Blues.
