KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Washburn Ichabods, who were playing their second match of the day in less than a four-hour span, fell 5-2 to Northwest Missouri in the MIAA Tournament Championship match in Kansas City at Clayview Country Club.
The Ichabods were behind 2-1 after doubles play as
Branden Joost and
Adam Rens picked up the one point for Washburn at No. 2 doubles defeating Vijit Sehgal and Ryan Westerhof 9-7. Washburn's other point came at No. 5 singles as Rens topped Westerhof 6-0, 6-2.
The Ichabods will now wait until this week for NCAA South Central Regionals are announced to see where their postseason will continue at.
