ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- The Washburn Lady Blues improved to 3-0 in MIAA play with an 8-1 win over Missouri Western in tennis action in St. Joseph, Mo. The Lady Blues will be back in action on Saturday when they will play host to Nebraska-Omaha at 10 a.m. on the Washburn tennis courts.

The Lady Blues opened up the match with three doubles wins dropping a combined 10 games in singles play. In doubles play, the Lady Blues took five of the six matches with all five wins going in straight sets while losing only two games in the win.
