ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- The Washburn Lady Blues soccer team picked up their first win of the season with a 1-0 decision over Missouri Western. Washburn will be back in action on Thursday at Northwest Missouri.

Freshman Rachel Hansen scored off an assist from Lindsey Lambert in the 66th minute giving the Lady Blues the win. Ashley Klone picked up the shutout win in goal with six saves.

WU was outshot 6-0 in the first 45 minutes, but responded with 11 shots in the second half.
