EMPORIA, Kan. -- The Washburn Ichabods topped Emporia State in tennis action on Wednesday at the EHS tennis courts topping the Hornets 8-1. Washburn (6-5, 2-1 MIAA) will be back in action on April 6 when they will face Northwest Missouri.

Washburn started out the match sweeping doubles play and then rolled to wins in the top five singles flights only dropping 11 games in the win with all of them going Washburn's way in straight sets. ESU picked up its lone win at No. 6 singles.
