DURANT, Okla. -- Heavy rains in Oklahoma has washed out the final two days of action in the South Central Shootout for the Lady Blues after going 1-2 in the first day of play on Feb. 17. Washburn will return to action on Feb. 24 at the Texas Woman's Classic.
The Lady Blues went 1-2 after falling to Texas Permain Basin 5-1 before topping Northeastern State 10-4. In a game which was moved from Saturday to Friday night, Washburn fell in eight innings to Southeastern Oklahoma 5-4.
In three games,
Alex Zordel led the Lady Blues with a .500 batting average collecting five hits and driving in one.
Haley Heincker and
Kristen Bell each had four hits. Kayla Odlham was 1-1 in the circle with a 1.56 earned run average.
