HAYS, Kan. -- The Washburn Lady Blues took a 1-0 lead into halftime but could not make it stand up in a 3-1 loss at Fort Hays State Friday night. Washburn returns to action at Nebraska-Kearney on Sunday afternoon.

Leah Talley scored her first goal of the season on an assist from
Tia Stovall in the 15th minute to put the Lady Blues up 1-0 on a shot infront of the box from the left side.
The Lady Blues took the 1-0 lead into the break, but the Tigers tied the score on a Sade Humphrey's fifth goal of the season in the 49th minute. Just over 10 minutes later the Tigers took the lead in the 59th minute on a goal by Alexis Aiman and FHSU added an insurance goal less than four minutes later by Jordan Hester.
Tori Fuglister picked up 10 saves in the match for Washburn as the Lady Blues were outshot 25 to 9 in the match.
Caysie Beetley had four shots to lead Washburn with three shots coming on goal.
