GOLDEN, Colo. -- The Washburn Lady Blues were shutout by Colorado Mines Saturday afternoon in a 3-0 loss to the Orediggers. Washburn (0-4) will be back in action on Friday in their home opener against Emporia State in Yager Stadium.
Colorado Mines took a 2-0 lead into the break after goals in the 11th and 29th minutes as they outshot the Lady Blues 17-0 in the first half.
The Orediggers (3-1) kept the pressure on in the second half recording 14 shots with six on goal.
Tori Fuglister had 13 saves for the Lady Blues in the match, which was a career high.
