TOPEKA, Kan. -- The Washburn Ichabod soccer team had its six-match unbeaten streak snapped in a 1-0 loss to Emporia State in a non-MIAA match played in Yager Stadium on Wednesday night. Washburn will wrap up the regular season home slate on senior night Friday when they host Missouri Southern at 6 p.m. The Hornets handed the first loss to the Ichabods since a 3-0 loss to No. 14-ranked Central Missouri on Sept. 27.

Washburn outshot the Hornets 13 to 11 overall, but the Hornets had a 9 to 4 advantage in corner kicks including a 5 to 2 lead in the second half.Â
The Ichabods, who played 21 different players in the non-conference match up were led in shots by
Kaitlyn Doescher who had four.
Tori Fuglister had two saves while facing 11 shots overall.
