EDMOND, Okla. -- Two first half goals by the host team was too much to overcome as the Ichabod soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Central Oklahoma. Washburn will wrap up the regular season at Northeastern State on Sunday looking to secure a first round MIAA Tournament game which starts on Tuesday.

The Bronchos scored in the seventh minute when Sarah Purcell scored her sixth goal of the season on an assist from Chandler Murphy from 8-yarsd out on a breakaway goal. UCO added another prior to the half in the 40th minute when Kate Foran followed up a missed shot putting UCO up 2-0.

UCO added its final goal in the 55th minute when Caitlin Bond scored from close range wrapping up the scoring in the match.

The Ichabods were outshot 17 to 5 including 9 to 2 in the second half. UCO also had eight corner kicks compared to three for Washburn.

Caysie Beetley had three shots to lead Washburn and Sophia Sabala recorded the only shot on goal for the Ichabods. Tori Fuglister had seven saves in net for Washburn.
