Weekly match notes
The Washburn Ichabod tennis team returns to action with three matches this weekend as they will travel to Wichita, Kan., to face the NCAA Division I Wichita State Shockers on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. The Ichabods will then return home to battle Southeastern Oklahoma at 4:30 p.m. at the Wood Valley Racquet Club and then on Sunday they will wrap up the busy weekend hosting Newman at 2 p.m. at Wood Valley.
Bods and ends . . .
• The Ichabods will be playing their first matches since a Feb. 9 loss to Ouachita Baptist in a 5-4 defeat.
• Wichita State is 6-3 after falling 4-1 to Nebraska on Monday.
• Southeastern Oklahoma is 5-3 and has matches on Feb. 26 against Oklahoma Baptist, Emporia State on Feb. 28 and Missouri Western on March 1 before facing the Ichabods on March 2.
• Newman has a 2-5 record entering Washburn's match on March 3.

Chance Joost is the only Ichabod to go 3-0 in the three dual matches this season. He is 2-0 at No. 6 singles and 1-0 at No. 5 singles.
• The Ichabods have used six different doubles line ups in the three matches this season.
• This season as a team the Ichabods are 38-29 in singles matches going 10-8 in the three duals while collecting a 15-12 overall record in doubles play with a 4-5 record in dual matches.

Bobby Florence leads the tam with eight singles wins so far this season compiling an 8-3 record.
• Both the Southeastern Oklahoma and Newman matches will count as NCAA regional matches for the Ichabods this season.
