WICHITA, Kan. -- The Washburn Ichabod tennis team fell 9-0 to the No. 74-ranked Wichita State Shockers on Friday afternoon at the Genesis Health Club in Wichita. The Ichabods (1-2) will have a quick turn around with two more matches this weekend facing Southeastern Oklahoma on Saturday and then wrapping the weekend with Newman with both matches to be played at the Wood Valley Racquet Club.

The Ichabods fell behind 3-0 early after doubles play. Washburn's No. 1 singles player Arek Kozaczuk went into a tiebreaker in his match with Ilija Cuic falling 1-6, 6-3 and 10-6 in the super tiebreak.
