WICHITA, Kan. -- The Washburn Lady Blues tennis team fell 9-0 at Newman on Friday afternoon in Wichita. Washburn will return to action on Saturday when they face Southeastern Oklahoma at the Wood Valley Racquet Club.

The Lady Blues fell behind 3-0 after two of the three doubles matches were separated by two games. Newman (7-1) continued their run through singles play. Kirsten Holle at No. 3 singles and Gwen Shepler at No. 5 singles pushed their matches into the third set but came up short.
